I am having a great 30th birthday, not because of lots of gifts or lollies or a big party but because I got a great daughter & wife by my side. When you’re a child and it’s your birthday you look at your gifts and your party to decide if it is a good birthday or not, but when you grow older, you look at what you have in your life to see if it is a good birthday or not. I never thought I could have started a lovely family while living an adventurous life by the time I reached 30, so I am a very proud man on my 30th birthday thanks to you & Mum 🙂

Dear Luna,
Truth is, I wanted to throw bubba a big celebration since it’s his 30th. But we’re living far from mum’s relatives (and we haven’t made any friends yet in Baguio where we currently reside), plus we don’t have much money to spend right now. So we just picked a nice restaurant we have not dined in before for a simple birthday lunch.
PNKY Travel Cafe is the resident resto of PNKY Bed & Breakfast. This B&B, before it was developed to what it is today, was a vacation house that can be short term-rented by tourists. Mum spent a lot of (high)school holidays here with my parents and aunts and uncles and cousins. We did barbies here, and bonfires and late night drinking sessions and truth-or-dares (wherein we once challenged my Aunt Amy to enter the premises of the Laperal White House — known to be haunted — across the street, read story HERE)
It’s a very special place for me, and it means a lot to be able to bring you and bubba here. So yeah, not a bad celebration at all. As long as bubba is happy, I’m happy.
